We've had several reports of nice catches occuring between the motel and the first bridge below Lava. As usual Streamers such as muddlers, zonkers and double bunnies can pull the bigger trout. Also, consider running a rubber bugger through the deeper holes. Black, brown and olives work well. If the day is pleasant and slightly overcast then try Blue Winged Olives in sizes 18-20. Bead Head nymphs are reliable patterns to fish almost anytime. Try Princes, pheasant tails and hare's ears in sizes 14-20. If you utilize the motel parking lot, be sure to check in with the owners.
